Galoy’s core banking system features a double-entry BTC and fiat ledger as well as modules for account management, approval workflows and interest and collateral management. GraphQL APIs enable integration with other components in a bank’s technology stack.

The platform may be operated as the primary core for startup financial institutions, whereas traditional banks seeking to plug into bitcoin may operate it in a sidecar core model.

Job Overview

We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to shape and execute a focused go-to-market strategy for Galoy’s Bitcoin banking platform. This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys building pipelines, cultivating partnerships, and turning complex technology into clear value for financial institutions.

You’ll lead revenue-generating initiatives across partnerships, pipeline development, and enterprise sales motions—helping institutions understand how Bitcoin can power financial services globally. You’ll work directly with the leadership team to identify target accounts, orchestrate outreach, run discovery, and progress opportunities from first meeting to pilot and contract.

You’ll also make smart use of AI tools to accelerate research, personalization, and sales operations—using technology to amplify your output, not define it.

  • Build and Manage Pipeline: Identify and prioritize ICP accounts; run targeted, multi-channel outreach to executives and product leaders at banks, fintechs, and payment companies.
  • Run the Sales Process: Lead discovery, solution mapping and product demonstration to understand prospect needs and present the Galoy platform.
  • Develop Partner Ecosystem: Establish and nurture relationships with integrators, consultancies, and technology partners that complement the Galoy stack.
  • Craft Materials and Narratives: Create concise decks, one-pagers, and ROI cases tailored to stakeholder needs; support proposals, pricing, and commercial terms.
  • Represent at Events: Maintain a calendar of relevant conferences; plan meetings, speak on panels where appropriate, and convert event interest into qualified opportunities.
  • Operate with Rigor: Maintain CRM hygiene, forecast accurately, and report on KPIs (meetings set, SQLs, pilots launched, time-to-close, revenue).
  • Leverage AI Tools: Use modern AI platforms to research accounts, enrich and segment leads, draft personalized outreach, summarize calls, and streamline follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities

  • 7+ years in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales (fintech, banking tech, or infrastructure required).
  • Ability to translate technical concepts (core banking, ledgers, APIs) into clear business value for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; confident running discovery, demos, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Disciplined approach to CRM, forecasting, and deal hygiene.
  • Familiarity with digital and AI-assisted sales tools (e.g., ChatGPT, enrichment/prospecting platforms, meeting summarizers).
  • Independent, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Experience selling across the financial system: banks, credit unions, regulated financial institutions, fintechs.
  • In-depth knowledge of core banking platforms, and digital asset infrastructure.
