As a Senior Finance & Operations Manager at Fedi, you’ll work at the core of the business, helping leadership make better decisions and shaping how the company scales.

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-agency Senior Finance & Operations Manager to act as a force multiplier for the Head of Operations.

This is not a support role. This is for someone who can take ownership of ambiguous problems, define the approach, and execute to completion without handholding.

You will operate across finance, analytics, and operations: turning messy data into clear insight, building models to support decision-making, and taking important work off the desk of senior leadership.

Within the first 3 months, you should be running core reporting independently. Within 6 months, you should be a trusted operator who proactively identifies issues and drives solutions across the business. This role is best suited to someone who can make an immediate impact from day one, bringing proven experience and a track record of delivering in similar environments, and who can operate independently without the need for close supervision.

Responsibilities

Finance & Analysis

• Own and maintain financial models (budgeting, burn, runway, scenario analysis)
• Translate CEO and leadership ideas into clear, structured models in Google Sheets/Excel
• Analyze company performance and provide clear, actionable insights

Reporting & Decision Support

• Take full ownership of recurring reporting (investor + internal)
• Turn complex data into crisp summaries and recommendations
• Build dashboards or lightweight systems to improve visibility
• Ensure leadership always has access to accurate, up-to-date information

Operations & Execution

• Take on high-priority problems and drive them to resolution
• Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
• Deputise for the Head of Operations when needed
• Operate effectively in a fast-moving, low-structure environment

Bitcoin Treasury & Reporting

• Manage visibility and reporting across Fedi’s bitcoin treasury
• Analyze cost basis, performance, and historical activity
• Provide clear views on position, exposure, and trends
• Support deeper thinking around treasury performance and implications

Financial Operations (Support)

• Support the fractional CFO during monthly close
• Work alongside bookkeeper and finance support to ensure clean, timely closes

What We’re Looking For

Core Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in finance, operations, or a hybrid role
• (e.g. startup, consulting, FP&A, investment banking, or similar)
• Strong financial modeling skills using Google Sheets or Excel
• Experience supporting investor reporting or complex senior leadership reporting
• Experience working with accounting teams or supporting monthly close
• Proven ability to take an ambiguous problem, define the approach, and execute independently
• Experience operating in fast-moving environments with minimal supervision
• Excellent written communication: able to turn complexity into clarity
• Strong analytical instincts: comfortable working with incomplete or messy data
• High integrity and discretion with sensitive financial information

AI & Automation

• Strong, practical use of AI tools to accelerate analysis, modeling, and output
• Ability to use AI to structure ambiguous problems, generate insights, and improve decision-making
• Experience using AI to build or enhance dashboards, reporting workflows, or internal tools
• Comfortable integrating AI into day-to-day work to increase speed, quality, and leverage
• Proactive in identifying opportunities where AI can improve processes, reduce manual work, or uncover insights
• Not just a user of AI, but someone who actively thinks about how AI can change how work gets done

Nice-to-Have / Signal Boosters

• Exposure to bitcoin, particularly treasury tracking or transaction analysis
• Data analysis skills (Python, SQL, or similar)
• Experience with Quickbooks
• Experience with Greenhouse
• Experience building dashboards or internal reporting systems

Success in This Role

Within 3 Months

• Own and run core reporting independently
• Build initial models to support leadership decisions
• Get up to speed on bitcoin treasury and financial structure

Within 6 Months

• Fully own reporting and financial visibility across the business
• Manage bitcoin treasury tracking and insights end-to-end
• Act as a reliable operator who can take on and resolve complex problems

Ongoing

• Proactively identify issues and opportunities for improvement
• Reduce load on the Head of Operations significantly
• Increase clarity, speed, and quality of decision-making across the company
