Product Designer (UI/UX)

Job Overview

The Product (UI/UX) Designer will create user-centered digital experiences that prioritize usability, functionality, and aesthetics. This includes designing interfaces, wireframes, and prototypes for decentralized systems while addressing global market dynamics, particularly in the Global South, and the rise of superapps. All design work will be executed using Figma, the company’s primary design tool. Your designs will shape the experience of users in emerging markets, directly contributing to financial inclusion and digital literacy. You will need to be proactive, a self-starter, and take responsibility for your work.

Key Responsibilities

Decentralized Platforms (App & Web):

• Design intuitive interfaces that simplify complex decentralized systems.
• Ensure designs align with user needs and product milestones.

Scalable Design System:

• Develop and maintain a unified, reusable, and scalable design system.
• Update the system based on user feedback and evolving requirements.

Global User Interfaces:

• Design for diverse global markets, emphasizing simplicity, accessibility, and multilingual/localized interfaces.
• Address the unique needs of users in the Global South to enhance usability and adoption.

Superapps:

• Create interfaces for multi-functional platforms with seamless user experiences across features.

User Research & Testing:

• Conduct research, usability tests, and feedback analysis to iteratively improve designs.
• Use product analytics to identify pain points and optimize experiences.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Head of Product and UX to align design strategy with overall product vision and business objectives.
• Collaborate with developers during the implementation phase to ensure design fidelity and a high-quality user experience.
• Collaborate with the Brand/Marketing Designer(s) to ensure alignment between the design system and the overall visual identity of the company.
• Contribute to cross-functional brainstorming sessions to improve product features and functionality.

Requirements

• Open to constructive feedback.
• Highly proactive.
• Proficient in Figma and experienced in building design systems.
• Knowledgeable in Web3 principles and blockchain platforms (e.g., Bitcoin).
• Familiar with global design challenges, including accessibility, localization, and performance optimization.
• Skilled at simplifying onboarding workflows for decentralized systems.
• Experienced in creating portfolios showcasing complex systems, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal.

Nice to Haves

• Illustration: Ability to create custom illustrations to enhance user interfaces and branding consistency.
• Animation: Proficiency in designing micro-interactions, motion graphics, and animations to improve user experience and engagement.
