We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Vice President of Communications to join our team at ZEBEDEE. This role will be responsible for developing and executing our overall Communications strategy across Marketing, Product, and Corporate Communications on all channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fintech or media industry and a passion for innovation and future trends.
- Build, inspire, and lead the communications team to develop and implement ZEBEDEE’s Communications strategy on all channels.
- Develop Public Relations plans to promote ZEBEDEE’s brand and product offerings, focusing on relevant markets and segments, including programming and events to drive business growth.
- Serve as the lead for all outputs driven by the Communications department.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, reporters, media, PR agencies, and creative teams.
- Drive the development of all communications material, including press releases, messaging, talking points, social content, and presentations as necessary.
- Champion and elevate internal communication processes & best practices.
- Drive and lead all risk management communications.
- Cultivate close working relationships with Product, BD, Strategy, and Marketing Leaders to drive a unified message through campaign cadences.
- Partner with leaders across the business to drive and foster collaboration and cross-company relationships.
- Lead and be the owner of all external communications/ PR agency initiatives.
- Identify and develop communications tactics and strategies per market, segment, and partner as necessary.
- Own and create the GTM communication strategies across the business through a campaign roadmap and relevant strategies and tactics to deliver best-in-class campaigns.
- Champion internal communications & employer branding initiatives working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure that the Communications team meets or exceeds our business OKRs.
- Report to the SVP of Marketing and be a part of the marketing leadership team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of 7 years hands-on communications experience in the fintech or media industry, with experience managing and building teams.
- Proven ability to build marketing and communications campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Proficiency with all forms of media – traditional, digital, and social media.
- Deep understanding of Gen Z & Millennial audiences, behaviours, affinities and preferences.
- Team-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and flexible, with the ability to work across various business groups across the company.
- Ability to foster positive relationships.
- Strong writing and editorial skills; social media and crypto savvy is a plus.
- Strong media relations experience with creative thinking and existing relationships that can be leveraged.
- Willingness to work outside standard business hours when needed (for any crisis management that may arise).
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle a range of projects.
- Passion and strong knowledge of fintech, entertainment, media, and future innovation.
- Understanding of bitcoin, lightning payments, gaming, crypto & web 3 is a plus.
