Job Overview
The ZBD app lets users jump into a universe of games and apps, connect with friends and earn Bitcoin while having fun. ZBD also empowers developers to embed bitcoin payments into video games and applications, such as podcasting and music streaming. ZBD’s unique proposition enables these partner developers to better monetize their games and apps by allowing users to receive micro-rewards for actions taken in the game or app. ZBD provides this functionality by leveraging Bitcoin and the Lightning Network protocol.
ZBD builds and leverages the most innovative solutions for the gaming and interactive entertainment industries and is seeking an experienced Gaming Payment Product leader to define and build the next generation of payment solutions for gaming and interactive entertainment.
The business comprises almost 60 employees – across business development, marketing, compliance, operations, technology, customer success and customer support – from Los Angeles to New York, London, Amsterdam and São Paulo.

Key Responsibilities
- Define the Gaming Payments product roadmap at ZBD – including proposals to leadership regarding ZBD’s payment proposition for developers and users.
- With deep knowledge of the Gaming sector as well as discovery conversations with prospects, developers and users, help define and prioritize the problems ZBD will solve based on the proposition for developers and users and commercial impact.
- Define through thorough analysis of market size and pricing (together with marketing and finance respectively), how ZBD will commercialize payments products.
- Work closely with Marketing to ensure ZBD defines and implements GTM plans that have clearly identified the target market, defined messaging and maximized revenue from payments products and features.
- Define and track key metrics regarding product success – including market penetration, new business revenue, product profitability, total revenue contribution, ARPU and CSAT.
- Build strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders – including developers, users, partners, engineering, sales, marketing, compliance and legal – and collaborate for alignment, speed and high impact outcomes.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- More than ten years’ experience in payments product roles within the video gaming sector.
- Experience developing, building, and delivering B2B and B2C (mobile) payments products – including experience in defining build vs buy proposals and leading partner selection processes where the decision is to buy rather than build.
- Payment product experience within the video games or interactive entertainment sector.
- A proven ability to collaborate with customers, partners, engineering, BD and marketing.
- A proven ability to set, lead and execute payments product strategy and translate that to ZBD.
- Ability to adapt to and lead in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Languages: spoken and written English required; Portuguese is a plus.
- An interest in BTC and Lightning Network is helpful but not essential.
